DYFODOL

The WYFSD (Welsh Youth Forum for Sustainable Development) has been renamed DYFODOL.  DFODOL stands for - your world, your voice, your future.  Dyfodol is an organisation run by young people for young people.    They believe the best way for young people to learn is from other young people i.e. peer mentoring.  Get invloved by becoming a member, joining a local group, taking part in an event or project.  WYFSD has a local group in Swansea.  To find out more EMail Carys Lovering This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or go to www.wyfsd.org  

TRAILBLAZERS - OCTOBER 2011

'Trailblazers' is returning in the October half term 2011!  Trailblazers is a program of fun and environmentally based activities for children aged 8-14 years old.  A variety of locations including Swansea Community Farm, Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre, Red Cafe, Down to Earth, Gower Heritage Centre are included.

Activities include eco arts and crafts, pond dipping, den building, adventure play, treasure hunts, making wool, planting, weaving and all sorts of other activities. All activities are aimed to promote environmental awareness, provide physical stimulation and assist in social development as well as encouraging respect to others and the environment.  Up and coming Trailblazer sites will be posted on the calendar - keep a look out.
